Become a skilled 1st Class Ship Fitter by fabricating and assembling ship components to maritime standards. This hands-on role requires expertise in blueprint reading and tool operation for precise vessel construction.
We are seeking an experienced Ship Fitter to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for assembling hulls and bulkheads while ensuring accuracy in fitting and fabrication. This position requires at least three years of ship fitting experience, along with the ability to interpret blueprints and follow safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret blueprints for component layout
• Cut and align ship components using various tools
• Assemble structural components in correct alignment
• Ensure quality and adhere to shipyard standards
• Collaborate with other trades for project completion
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum 3 years of ship fitting experience
• Skilled in using cutting torches and measuring instruments
• Knowledge of shipyard safety regulations
• Ability to work in confined and elevated spaces
Utilize your ship fitting skills to contribute to the construction and repair of marine vessels.
