Summary:

The Mat Maker is responsible for manufacturing quality rubber mats and adhering to safety and work process procedures.

• Follow safe workplace procedures and wear mandatory personal protective equipment where required.
• Shovel and screed rubber dust using proper techniques.
• Place mats on correct pallets with accurate tag information.
• Properly nest molds.
• Operate overhead crane‑hoist and its control.
• Ensure mold stacks are centered on the machine table.
• Blow out all “crunchies” from molds.
• Blow off machines and mat stacks thoroughly, every time.
• Remove full pallets outside with care.
• Maintain current production targets.
• Maintain an absenteeism rate of 3.5% or less.
• Consistently keep the work area tidy.
• Contribute constructively to the team environment.
• Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.

• Forklift and Bobcat training.
• Must be able to perform rotating shift work throughout the week, including weekends (4 shifts on, 2 days off, repeat).
• Must endure physical labour and repetitive tasks.
• Must exhibit positive and respectful behaviours.
• Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
• Must identify opportunities for improvement.
• Must be flexible and adaptable.
• Provide own CSA‑approved steel‑toed footwear.
