Conair Paint Shop Technician Role

Conair is seeking a Paint Shop Technician in Abbotsford, British Columbia, to ensure high-quality aircraft finishes and safety. This hands-on role requires attention to detail and expertise in the painting process.

You will work under the direction of the Paint Shop Lead Hand, integrating all aspects of surface preparation, painting, and inspecting aircraft finishes.

Your role is crucial for both aesthetics and safety as you mentor fellow team members and foster a positive work culture focused on safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and paint aircraft surfaces and assemblies

• Apply advanced coatings and custom designs

• Perform quality inspections of finished surfaces

• Maintain tools and ensure a safe work area

• Stay updated on safety procedures

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of WHMIS requirements

• Expertise in aircraft painting techniques

• Ability to interpret technical data

• 5 years of professional painting experience preferred

• CCAA Painter Certification is an asset
