Oversee the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF System, including food safety fundamentals. Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF System and communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF System. Ensure compliance with the CFIA Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR), Egg Regulations, and Global Safety Initiative (GFSI) SQF code requirements.

• Food industry experience considered an asset
• HACCP food safety training courses in Prerequisites & HACCP Plans required
• GFSI SQF implementation training course preferred
• Strong organizational, communication skills, and the ability to work independently with little supervision
• Demonstrated understanding of the SQF related code level and the requirements to implement and maintain SQF System relevant to the company scope of certification
• Ability to adapt to changes and open to learning new ways to get things done more efficiently and effectively
• Basic knowledge of computer and ability to learn in-house systems
• Must be able to work well with others be a team leader as well as a team player, demonstrating politeness, respect, and courtesy in communication and daily interactions
• Must be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with customers regarding complaints and special requests
