Registered Nurse in Hospice Care

This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join Fraser Health's Hospice Residence team. You'll assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care, focusing on patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. With at least two years of recent medical nursing experience and a desire to advocate for patient rights, you will make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and implement nursing care for assigned patients

• Collect patient information through observation and assessment

• Communicate and consult with healthcare team members

• Advocate for patients' rights and dignity

• Document relevant patient observations accurately

Requirements:

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing

• Two years of recent medical nursing experience

• One year in a hospice or palliative setting preferred

• Current registration with BCCNM

• Strong communication and organizational skills
