In this pivotal role at Fraser Health, the Geriatric Nurse Clinician will employ evidence-informed strategies to provide expert care and mentorship for acutely ill seniors. You will collaborate extensively with health professionals, facilitating education initiatives and enhancing patient assessments and interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate clinical leadership in geriatric care
• Role model and teach nursing practices to staff
• Evaluate and develop individualized care plans
• Lead educational initiatives for staff and families
• Participate in quality improvement and risk management efforts
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
• Three years of experience in acute gerontology nursing
• At least one year in an educational or leadership capacity
• Valid BC Driver's Licence required
• Relevant postgraduate coursework in gerontology
