Position: Clinical Mentor for Mental Health Services
Join Fraser Health as a Clinical Mentor focused on Mental Health and Substance Use. Support nursing staff through direct mentorship and expert clinical guidance to enhance client care.

In this impactful role, you will utilize your extensive experience in mental health nursing to mentor and train nursing staff. Your expertise will facilitate skill development, clinical decision-making, and adherence to best practices. Collaborate with nurse educators and interprofessional leaders to support ongoing education initiatives for nursing teams, ensuring quality care delivery and continuous professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate clinical mentorship to nurses and support teams

• Advise on clinical practice standards and guidelines

• Encourage problem-solving related to client care practices

• Conduct competency assessments and identify learning needs

• Participate in clinical education initiatives to support staff training

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM

• At least three years in Acute or Community Mental Health

• Experience in mentoring and supporting nurses

• Demonstrated leadership training or equivalent experience

• Access to personal vehicle and valid BC Driver’s License may be necessary
