Are you a dedicated and compassionate nurse with a passion for enhancing resident care?

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director of Care (ADOC) to join our compassionate team at The Mayfair Senior Living + Care in Abbotsford. As an ADOC, you will lead by example, coordinating and supervising direct resident care activities to ensure that our residents receive the highest quality of care in a safe and respectful environment. You’ll work closely with our Director of Care (DOC) and other departments to continually assess and improve our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess residents' needs and develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans.
  • Liaise with physicians, community agencies, families, and volunteers to ensure holistic care.
  • Lead and coordinate the annual Interdisciplinary Care Conference and Medication Review meetings.
  • Conduct monthly audits and identify areas for improvement, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing quality improvement initiatives within the facility.
  • Deliver education and presentations to staff throughout the year, ensuring ongoing professional development.
  • Coach nursing and care staff on MDS, Point Click Care  (PCC), and Point of Care practices.
  • Participate in JOHS and Infection Control meetings, contributing to a culture of safety.
  • Support the orientation and integration of new employees into the team.
  • Foster a safe environment for both residents and staff.
  • Support TCG Quality Improvement and accreditation initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved nursing school with current active registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • BSN preferred or a combination of nursing experience and additional education.
  • Proven experience in caring for frail elderly and physically/mentally challenged individuals.
  • Previous gerontological nursing experience (5 years preferred).
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
