Make a difference in geriatric care at Fraser Health as a Geriatric Nurse Clinician. Located at Abbotsford Regional Hospital, this role emphasizes clinical leadership and educational program development for older adults.
Fraser Health is committed to enhancing patient care for geriatric populations. The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with experience in acute settings and a passion for education. You will lead clinical assessments, provide essential training for healthcare staff, and promote evidence-informed practices within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide clinical practices in treating acutely ill older patients
• Collaborate with clinical staff for effective discharge planning
• Design and refine educational materials based on audits
• Assess training needs and deliver learner-centered education
• Engage in quality improvement and research projects
Requirements:
• Current RN registration with British Columbia College
• Three years of recent gerontological nursing experience
• At least one year of leadership experience
• Access to a vehicle for business purposes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
