As a Pediatric Registered Nurse within the Maternal
- Infant
- Child & Youth team, you will be instrumental in promoting health and well-being for children and their families. This role emphasizes collaborative care within an enthusiastic team dedicated to quality and compassion. You will be responsible for comprehensive assessments and patient education in various pediatric settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform thorough nursing assessments upon patient admission
• Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals on care plans
• Teach self-care skills and health maintenance to patients
• Coordinate tasks among nursing and support staff
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives for patient care
Requirements:
• Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse
• At least one year of recent pediatric nursing experience
• Completed post-graduate coursework relevant to pediatrics
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to assess and respond to patient acuity changes
