As a Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to facilitate person-centered recovery services. This role demands crisis intervention skills, effective communication, and the ability to perform mental health assessments. Moreover, you will provide ongoing support, ensure patient referrals, and maintain accurate client records within established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and provide crisis counseling for clients and families

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective transitions

• Maintain detailed patient records in compliance with regulations

• Offer casework expertise in mental health and substance use

• Participate in professional development and research activities

Requirements:

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing

• Current registration with BCCNM as a Registered Nurse or Psychiatric Nurse

• Two years of recent related experience in psychiatric settings

• Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a vehicle

• Knowledge of mental illness and treatment modalities
