Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Provide emergency department nursing care with Fraser Health using patient assessment, clinical reasoning, and interprofessional collaboration. Work within British Columbia practice standards.

As a Registered Nurse, you will assess, plan, provide, and evaluate person-centered care for emergency department patients. You will collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and interprofessional care teams. The position supports care planning, discharge coordination, teaching, referrals, documentation, and quality improvement.

• Assess patients using observation, communication, data review, and physical assessment
• Plan, perform, and evaluate nursing interventions and care
• Coordinate care, delegate tasks, and set nursing priorities
• Teach patients and families about health care and self-care
• Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and referrals

• Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM
• Postgraduate emergency coursework or equivalent education, training, and experience
• Ability to provide prescribed technical, therapeutic, and safety interventions
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with interprofessional care teams
