Position: UFV Laboratory Technician Role

As a Laboratory Technician, you will prepare science labs, assist instructors, and maintain the functionality of lab equipment. This position requires strong communication skills to instruct students on safe lab practices and technical concepts. You'll be expected to manage competing priorities effectively within the lab environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize labs for instructional use

• Assist with teaching and proper equipment usage

• Monitor compliance with safety regulations

• Maintain lab equipment and arrange repairs

• Guide students in laboratory activities

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent qualification

• Three years related laboratory experience

• First Aid and GHS training desirable

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Flexibility to work at any UFV campus
