This full-time role within the Archaeology Branch requires a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Archaeology or Anthropology. As you work with First Nations, stakeholders, and government entities, your expertise will influence land-use decisions. Your contributions will focus on maintaining the integrity of the Provincial Heritage Register, supporting heritage conservation efforts, and fostering meaningful partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the Provincial Heritage Register
• Ensure archaeological site records are accurate and accessible
• Collaborate with First Nations and industry stakeholders
• Support responsible land-use decisions based on archaeological data
• Promote heritage conservation through innovative practices
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Archaeology or Anthropology
• Minimum 18 months of archaeological resource management experience
• Experience with GIS software is preferred
• Familiarity with the Heritage Conservation Act
• Experience working with Indigenous communities is valued
