Shelter Resource Worker

As a Shelter Resource Worker, you will play a pivotal role in a 24/7 emergency shelter. Your responsibilities include conducting guest intakes, offering orientations, and connecting individuals to vital external services. You will ensure a safe environment and assist in maintaining proper records, all while delivering support during shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support and supervision to homeless adults facing challenges

• Conduct guest orientations and intakes upon entry

• Refer guests to essential community services

• Maintain records and manage necessary documentation

• Remain vigilant and attentive during all shifts
Requirements:

• Certificate in a relevant field or Grade 12 education with experience

• Familiarity with community resources and support services

• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Criminal record clearance for Vulnerable Sector
