Position: Lookout Housing Shelter Resource Worker
Become a vital part of Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Shelter Resource Worker in Abbotsford, BC. Provide essential support to individuals facing homelessness in a compassionate environment.

In this dynamic role, you will work within a 24-hour emergency shelter helping homeless adults overcome barriers. Responsibilities include guest intakes, offering needed orientation, and directing guests to community services. You will play an integral role in fostering a safe and structured environment for everyone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist homeless adults and provide necessary support

• Conduct assessments and direct clients to community resources

• Complete documentation and maintain statistical records

• Collaborate with shelter staff to ensure effective operation

• Stay alert and attentive throughout shifts

Requirements:

• Relevant certificate or Grade 12 with two years of experience

• Understanding of local community resources

• Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate preferred

• Strong communication and documentation abilities

• Criminal record clearance – Vulnerable Sector requirement
