This position directly supports students in need of specialized behavioral interventions under the supervision of school counselors. Your work entails assessing student behaviors, implementing development activities, and coordinating with various educational and community teams. The Youth Care Worker will undertake individual and group sessions to promote social skills and personal accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute individual safety and education plans
• Intervene in crises and manage emergency situations
• Offer guidance through self-regulation and life skills training
• Hold meetings to strategize support for at-risk students
• Maintain thorough documentation of progress and strategies
Requirements:
• High School diploma with a recognized social services diploma
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in youth care
• CPI certification is mandatory
• Current BC Driver’s License required
• Proven ability to work with diverse populations
