Community Support Worker at PCCR

Make a difference as a Community Support Worker with Pacific Coast Community Resources. Empower individuals in staffed homes to lead independent lives while ensuring top-notch care and safety standards.

In this role, you will support residents by advocating for their rights and engaging with them effectively. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, your focus will be on promoting independence and self-determination, while developing Personal Service Plans. Your excellent understanding of behavior management and mental health needs will greatly benefit the community you serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advocate for the rights and choices of supported persons

• Foster positive relationships with families and professionals

• Develop and implement Personal Service Plans

• Assist with daily living activities and medication administration

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of residents' homes

Requirements:

• Diploma in Community Support Work or equivalent

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in social services or healthcare

• Current CPR and Food Safe certifications

• Criminal record clearance for vulnerable populations

• Moderate computer literacy
