Shelter Resource Worker

In this full-time temporary role, you'll report to the Site Manager and ensure basic needs for shelter guests are met. As a Shelter Resource Worker, your responsibilities include conducting intakes, connecting guests with community resources, and maintaining essential records. You'll also provide support and supervision for guests facing various challenges while ensuring a safe and welcoming space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and assist homeless adults with barriers

• Conduct intakes and orientations for incoming guests

• Refer guests to community services and resources

• Maintain required records and statistical data

• Provide assistance and training for new staff

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 education with 2 years related experience

• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Familiarity with community resources

• Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector
