As a Youth Care Worker, you will assist students who require behavioral support under the guidance of the Principal. You'll conduct assessments, plan activities, and document progress while maintaining confidentiality. Your contributions will foster a positive developmental environment for at-risk youth in the dynamic Abbotsford educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in creating Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Provide crisis intervention in classrooms and playgrounds
• Support counselors with intervention strategies and assessments
• Offer group and individual sessions for skill development
• Maintain documentation and progress reports for students
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma and 2-year post-secondary diploma
• Minimum 2 years of experience with at-risk youth
• Current CPI certification and a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and resilience to change
