Aux Recreation Programmer

The City of Abbotsford’s Recreation & Culture division is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated professional with proven leadership and programming skills to join their dynamic team as an Auxiliary Recreation Programmer.

In this exciting role, you are responsible for developing, leading, supervising and evaluating a wide variety of recreation services, programs and events for all participants. Creativity and marketing skills are essential as you promote interest and participation in program activities. Strong leadership and supervisory skills are essential as you help select, empower, train, mentor and evaluate a team of recreation staff.

Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships will make you an asset to the team as you liaise with community groups, school officials and other stakeholders.

Your excellent communication, organizational, administrative and critical thinking skills and abilities, combined with a strong commitment to customer service excellence will guide your success in this position.
