Job DescriptionWay Wind Transport, a reputable logistics company based in Abbotsford, BC, is currently seeking 4 Long Haul Truck Drivers to join our growing team. Our drivers will be responsible for transporting goods over long distances, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards on the road.
Key Responsibilities- Drive heavy trucks for long-distance trips across various regions in Canada and the U.S.
- Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport cargo nationally or internationally.
- Transport freight in a safe and efficient manner.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and ensure the load is secure.
- Maintain accurate records of hours of service, cargo, and vehicle conditions.
- Follow all transportation regulations, including road safety laws and hours of service.
- Ensure the truck is loaded and unloaded safely and efficiently.
- Report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team in a timely manner.
- May perform emergency roadside repairs or contact dispatch to arrange mechanic’s assistance for repairs depending on the situation.
- Must have a valid passport and/or work permit and visa if required.
- Wage: $37.50 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay.

- Education:
High School Diploma is usually required. - Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in long haul truck driving or equivalent experience is preferred. - Licensing:
Must hold a valid Class 1 (or
A) commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive for long periods and handle long-distance trips.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with load securement and proper handling of freight.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as required.
- English language proficiency.
