Klassen Transport, formerly known as Valley Carriers, is looking for a high-performing Day Shift Dispatcher to take ownership of the day.

This is not just dispatching.

You are coordinating people, resources, and decisions in real time ensuring drivers are supported, customers are informed, and the system flows.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $52,000 – $62,000 per year (depending on experience)

Additional Pay: Performance Bonus, Quarterly Profit Sharing

Your Mission

In this role, you actively drive the 4

Ps of Value Creation :

• Support drivers with clear communication and respect
• Help create a workplace where people feel valued and perform at their best

• Optimize truck utilization and routing in real time
• Eliminate delays, reduce waste, and keep the system moving

• Protect margin through smart decisions—prioritization, efficiency, and timing
• Understand that how we dispatch directly impacts cost and value

• Deliver a level of service that earns repeat business and trust
• Be part of a system that customers rely on because we execute consistently

• Dispatch trucks for day operations
• Adjust plans in real time based on changing conditions
• Communicate clearly with drivers, customers, and internal teams
• Ensure orders are executed on time and on spec
• Monitor Hours of Service, permits, and compliance
• Support border crossing and eManifest requirements
• Prepare dispatch communications and handoff to evening shift
• Maintain logs and updates with discipline and accuracy
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Accounting, and Operations
• Bring calm, clarity, and solutions when things get busy

• Dispatch, trucking, logistics, or driving experience
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail

• Understanding of HOS, permits, and compliance is an asset
• Team-first mentality—you support drivers and they trust you
