Job DescriptionWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Class 2 Flight Instructor to provide both in‑aircraft and ground school instruction in accordance with Transport Canada standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Instruct student pilots in procedures and techniques of flying aircraft and in ground‑school subjects such as navigation, radio procedures, and aviation regulations.
- Monitor operation of engine and aircraft systems during flight.
- Train licensed pilots for additional certifications.
- Prepare and train pilots for written and flight examinations.
- Conduct pre‑flight inspections and ensure proper weight and balance.
- Communicate with control towers for takeoff clearances and flight instructions.
- Coordinate flight activities with ground crew and air traffic control.
- Direct flight crew during flight operations and explain test procedures.
- Maintain communication with dispatchers and meteorological services.
- Handle and report in‑flight emergencies and aircraft malfunctions.
- Prepare accurate student progress and flight evaluation reports.
- Flight Instructor Rating – Airplane (Class
2). - Experience in both dual and solo flight instruction.
- Previous experience as a flight instructor.
- Completion of secondary school and graduation from a certified aviation or flying school.
- Commercial Pilot Licence (Fixed‑Wing).
- Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL – Fixed‑Wing).
- Transport Canada Flight Instructor Rating (Airplane).
- Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit (Aeronautical).
- Valid Transport Canada endorsements to instruct on applicable aircraft types.
