Direct-way Transport Ltd. is currently looking for a “Long Haul truck Driver” who can start working as soon as possible. Further job description is as follows:

Job Title – Long Haul Truck Driver

Location – Abbotsford, BC, V2T 5Z6

Salary – $37.00/ Hour

Terms of Employment – Permanent, Full time 40 Hours/ Week

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Will train

• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

• Driver’s License (Class 1 or
  
  A)

• Documentation knowledge
• Accident or incident reports
• Bill of lading
• Driver logbook
• Inspection report (pre-trip, en‑route, post-trip)
• Maintenance and repair reports

• Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
