Exciting opportunity to join a reputable main contractor as they mobilise a major £90 million scheme in South Wales – project start imminent!
The RoleReporting to the Commercial Manager/Director, you will take a lead role in managing commercial aspects of this landmark project, ensuring robust cost control, value engineering, and profitable delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Full QS duties including interim valuations, final accounts, and variations
- Cost reporting, forecasting, and risk management
- Subcontractor procurement and management
- Commercial support to the project team
- Extensive experience as a Senior QS on main contract projects
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
- Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying; MRICS desirable
