the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a member of the Engineering Group
  • Contribute to all aspects of environmental engineering projects
  • Provide professional technical input across project stages
  • Support environmental engineering design, planning, and execution activities
  • Assist with marketing initiatives to promote the firm’s services
  • Contribute to business development efforts
  • Identify potential new clients and business opportunities
  • Support the growth and expansion of the firm
About You
  • Environmental permitting (e.g. Industrial Emissions Directive, via PPC/EPR/IPC) and associated regulator liaison (e.g. SEPA, EA, NIEA, EPA).
  • Air quality to include impact assessment via D1, H1 and/or via the CERC (e.g. ADMS) suite of software.
  • Specifying water and air pollution control strategies/technologies with reference to the principles of BAT.
  • Supporting with the design and implementation of industrial wastewater treatment solutions.
  • Water management to include water efficiency auditing of industrial and commercial facilities, and other forms of resource efficiency/waste minimisation.
  • Environmental noise assessment/support for industrial and commercial facilities (via BS 4142) and construction/development (via BS 5228).
  • Hydrology to include flood risk assessment.
Qualifications
  • Hold an Honours or Masters degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, physical sciences, or a related field
  • Possess a full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
  • Professional chartership(s) desirable and viewed favourably
Additional Information
  • The role may require travel (including occasional overnight stays) across the UK and overseas
  • A full clean driving licence is desirable
