Location:
Aberdare. Hours per week: 15 hours (two 7.5 hour shifts Monday & Tuesday). Pay: £14.50 per hour (day rate 7am‑11pm). Closing date: 20 March 2026 (advert may close earlier if many applicants).

Responsibilities- Supporting me with cooking and day‑to‑day household tasks.
- Encouraging and assisting me to access the community, gym, and activities.
- Supporting my rehabilitation by completing therapy tasks set by my multidisciplinary team.
- Helping to plan and develop meaningful daily activities.
- Providing positive behavioural support, including offering time and space when I become frustrated; I experience some cognitive difficulties and receive support from an occupational therapist and neuropsychologist.
You will need to respond calmly, positively, and with patience.
About You- Warm, patient, and reliable
- Positive, calm, and understanding
- Confident in supporting rehabilitation goals
- Flexible and able to work occasionally at short notice to cover sickness or annual leave
- Willing to support holidays and short breaks
- Be able to drive and have use of a car.
- Drive the client’s vehicle.
- Have experience of supporting a person with a brain injury.
- Enjoy working as part of a team.
- Be registered or willing to register with Social Care Wales.
- Above the industry average for pay
- Mileage rate - 45p per mile
