1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA) Wanted Aberdare Welsh Speaking

Academics are currently recruiting for a passionate 1:1 TA to work alongside a pupil at a Welsh medium primary school in Aberdare, starting from November 2025. The role will be full time and long term
, initially until Christmas Term, but will be extended until the end of the academic year, with a permanent role also a possibility.

The pupil does not have behavioural needs
. He needs 1:1 support as he has Sensory Processing Disorder, meaning that he needs constant supervision, mostly to ensure he stays on his feet.

• Assist the teacher in delivering successful lessons
• Work with pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
• Build and maintain professional relationships with other staff members
• Be a role model to all pupils

• Regular, long term work
• Weekly pay of between 475 - 550
• Your own consultant

• Fluent Welsh Speaker
• An enhanced DBS check (essential) which is subscribed to the DBS Update Service (desirable)
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Two recent and professional references
• Experience of working in either an SEN or education setting
