Next Gen is seeking a Budget Analyst to support an Army customer with a broad range of budget analyses and studies for organization finance planning and execution.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a broad range of studies in areas relating to budget and financial analysis for program planning and execution.
  • Plan, track, and review funding from commitment through execution, based on funding requests and related documentation.
  • Perform various management tasks to include developing, implementing, analyzing, and evaluating Support Agreements.
  • Analyze proposals to determine the appropriate type of funding source to support agreements, depending on negotiated support.
  • Coordinate with diverse workforce teams, including upper-levels of management, in the support agreements community to assist in the execution of the financial plan.
  • Provide advice and assistance on the Support Agreements process, agreement formats and standards.
  • Understand, process, and analyze data and reports to support budget analysis, execution, and planning across the program life cycle.
  • Develop documentation and charts to graphically depict budget information and status.
  • Respond to numerous financial and programmatic queries from customers and program leadership.
  • Prepare and present briefings to high level officials.
  • Ability to quickly review, assess, correlate, and report data trends and related information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree - 3 additional years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated, relevant experience, in a similar work environment.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using GFEBS
    - General Fund Enterprise Business System
  • Experience working with Army, Joint Staff, and/or DoD organizations is preferred.
  • Experience with budget execution (direct and reimbursable), Functional Support Agreements (FSAs), and Out-Year planning.
  • Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • High degree of attention to detail.
  • Must be self-motivated and have sound planning and organizational skills to perform a variety of different tasks concurrently in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and to seek out information from other team members.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to meet frequent deadlines.
  • The ability to deal with and work through multiple and frequently-changing assignments and requests for information.
  • Active DoD secret clearance required
  • US Citizenship required
