Benefits:
SAIC is seeking Systems Engineers who are passionate about supporting the daily operations and strategic efforts of a Marine Corps acquisition program. They will work with our talented team of engineers, logisticians, and program support personnel to design and build the next‑generation capabilities for the United States Marine Corps Fires community.
Job Duties- Maintain a detailed understanding of all project requirements, spend plans and project schedules at the program and project team levels.
- Advise the project team on efforts aligned with program office priorities to ensure resources are employed effectively.
- Support the development of acquisition plans that best leverage project team capabilities.
- Assist the integrated product team with all engineering, logistics, testing, training, and financial efforts.
- Help the project team lead monitor and report performance against plans to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
- Observe demand signals throughout the fleet to help evaluate them for inclusion in products, contributing to new concepts, techniques, and standards.
- Provide technical support for AFATDS FoS, including AFATDS and other digital fires C2 systems.
Required
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and (5) five years of relevant experience; or Four (4) years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Security Clearance:
- Must possess an active Secret Clearance (US citizenship required).
Required Skills:
- Experience and extensive knowledge of all aspects of the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition process.
- Experience with AFATDS system requirements and specialized knowledge of the operational, technical processes and maintenance requirements of the system.
- Significant experience with AFATDS Family of Systems (FoS) communications architecture.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high‑pressure environments.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with short‑term deadlines.
Desired
Skills:
- Experience with Ground Fires, Joint Fires and Close Air Support systems, operations and doctrine.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
