Accelint is a mission-driven technology company focused on strengthening national security and supporting critical industries. We build the technologies that help operators and organizations see what’s happening, make faster and better decisions, take action with confidence, and stay ready for what comes next. Our work includes advanced sensors, autonomous systems, mission command and control software, AI-enabled training and simulation, and tools that improve logistics, maintenance, and overall readiness.

For nearly 30 years we have supported military and civilian agencies across the Department of Defense, U.S. allies and partners, and essential industries. When you join Accelint, your work directly contributes to protecting national security and strengthening the systems our society depends on.

Accelint brings together the talents of Hypergiant, Forward Slope, Systems Innovation Engineering, Soar Tech, and Highbury Defense Group under one mission, with each entity contributing deep expertise in its domain. This role is part of our Highbury Defense Group (HDG) division, which specializes in C2, systems engineering, cyber, and international mission support. HDG brings decades of experience supporting the DoD, Department of State, and allied partners, delivering practical, technically rigorous solutions that strengthen operational readiness around the world.

The Systems Engineer provides classified and unclassified systems engineering support to PM PNT across the full system life cycle. This role supports the planning, design, integration, verification, and validation of PNT systems and technologies in accordance with DoD acquisition guidance and recognized systems engineering standards. The position ensures technical rigor, configuration control, risk management, and interoperability of PM PNT products with Army platforms and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support PM PNT systems engineering plans, processes, and acquisition documentation, including Systems Engineering Plans (SEP), configuration management plans, risk management plans, Integrated Master Plans (IMP), and related technical artifacts.
  • Participate in and support technical reviews and audits across the acquisition life cycle, including SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, PRR, FCA, PCA, and configuration audits, as well as associated pre- and post-review activities, IPTs, and working group meetings.
  • Provide systems engineering support for classified and unclassified PM PNT products, including requirements analysis and derivation, system architecture and design, modeling and simulation, integration, test and evaluation, hardware and software validation, and field demonstrations.
  • Support system integration and interoperability of PNT solutions with Army platforms and client systems in accordance with DoD guidance and IEEE 1220 systems engineering principles, considering operational constraints, sustainment impacts, and DOTMLPF implications.
  • Support concept development, sensor and system design, hardware, software, and network integration, host platform integration, experimentation, and demonstration activities for PM PNT products.
  • Identify and assess improvements to existing systems and evaluate emerging PNT and augmentation technologies, concepts, strategies, tactics, and training to meet current and future operational requirements while maintaining affordability and schedule objectives.
  • Review technical data artifacts for quality and acceptability, ensure traceability and integrity of product-data relationships, and establish and maintain databases to support requirements development and tracking for PM PNT programs.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in DoD or Army systems engineering and acquisition programs
  • Knowledge of systems engineering standards and practices (e.g., DoD SE guidance, IEEE 1220)
  • Experience supporting technical reviews, system integration, and test and evaluation
  • Ability to work in classified and unclassified environments
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and technical communication skills
