Position Title: Cybersecurity Technical Specialist IV
Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland
Employment: Full-Time (MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN)
Education/
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in directly related field and 7 years’ experience (Level IV). Experience can be substituted for degree.
Scope:
As part of an on-site Cybersecurity Support Team, provide technical expertise to the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) HQ at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Job Description:
Provide cybersecurity services to protect information and information systems from unauthorized access and to protect the data within systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties:
- Experience with ACAS security scanning, building Nessus dashboards and monitoring trends on the network.
- Patching and hardening of systems in accordance with Army DOD security related technical guidance. Applying DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other security related technical configurations at the system environment level.
- Manual scanning of systems supporting standalone system environments, CRNs, and classified enclaves.
- Building software deployment packages using PDQ Deploy, Microsoft MECM, or other Windows patch management tools.
- Provide recommendations for remediation of systems on a large-scale network.
- Evaluating technical risk and understanding how changes in system configuration and/or network architecture affect a system’s security posture.
- Familiar with remote management support tools in an enterprise environment.
- Diagnose system configuration issues involving compliancy controls and work through to resolution. Often providing technical assistance to end users and working across IT technical teams to resolution.
- Familiar with HBSS/ESS policy implementation is a plus.
- Preparing documentation for RMF eMASS submission as artifacts upon request.
- Information security or network/system administration
- IT audit, IT compliance, enterprise risk management, creating/updating/implementing policy, etc., using cybersecurity/IT tools such as ACAS, HBSS/ESS, eMASS, and applying STIGs
- Understanding of how changes in system configuration and/or network architecture affect a system’s security posture and risk profile
- Configuration management, contingency / disaster preparation, incident response, account management, access control, media control, etc.
- Desired – Creation & execution of Power Shell, BAT, or other system configuration scripts
Security Clearance: SECRET w/ ability to obtain TS with SCI, as needed.
Required
Certifications:
- (Level IV) Possesses DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT III Baseline Certification (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA or CISSP/CISSP Associate)
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $120,000 – $165,000 per year
