Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general building repairs and maintenance, repairing warehouse equipment and completing handyman work as needed both inside the Distribution Center and around the property.

Responsibilities
  • General building maintenance including carpentry, painting and electrical repairs.
  • Landscaping including lawn care and snow removal around the building property.
  • Concrete and floor repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records (Service Channel) of all Maintenance tasks performed as instructed.
  • Operating equipment in a safe manner and maintain a watchful eye for unsafe practices and situations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Basic computer skills for maintaining and managing work orders, email, etc.

  • Multi-trade skillset for handyman repairs including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous facilities repair and maintenance experience
  • Ability to operate and knowledge of forklift or industrial equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience in facilities maintenance
  • Ability to communicate proactively and effectively, including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position
  • Skilled in multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
  • Must be able to work flexible hours determined by needs of department including weekends
  • Ability to safely and effectively utilize general hand tools, saws, drills, etc
  • Use of a computer for email and to manage Service Channel work orders
  • Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob’s
Physical Demands
  • Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance
  • Move throughout all areas of the distribution center
  • Move objects up to 250 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions
  • Work often involves standing and walking; occasional desk or phone work
