Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer - Software

Salary Range 158,000 – 168,000

The Software Engineer (SWE) will provide functional and empirical analysis in support of the design, development, and implementation of software systems. This role supports a wide range of software solutions and engineering activities and is a full‑time, on‑site position located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG).

• Minimum of nine (9) years of professional experience within the last fifteen (15) years.
• Experience providing functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including application software, utility software, development tools, and diagnostic software.
• Experience participating in the development of test strategies, test devices, and system‑level testing activities.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering problems or manage the resolution of engineering problems within the assigned functional area.
• Experience supporting software engineering efforts across the full software development lifecycle.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or another Engineering or Technical discipline.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
