What You’ll Do
- Build and manage a portfolio of small business and commercial loans, from origination through closing and servicing.
- Develop strong relationships with current and prospective clients, understanding their needs and recommending appropriate lending solutions.
- Analyze creditworthiness, structure loan terms, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the organization’s mission of delivering exceptional services.
- Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and assist with onboarding and mentoring as the lending team expands.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial lending, with a strong focus on small business clients.
- Prior experience in a community bank or credit union setting preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to grow and manage a commercial loan portfolio.
- Strong knowledge of underwriting, credit analysis, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to relocate to Aberdeen, SD (relocation assistance available if needed).
