Travel Nurse Source is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Chamberlain, South Dakota, 57325!
Job TitleRegistered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room / Med-Surg
LocationChamberlain, SD | Acute Care
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Rotating Shifts | 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend and holiday required | 3 call shifts expected per 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care in both the Emergency Room and Med-Surg unit, floating between departments as needed
- Function independently in the ER setting and manage a Med-Surg patient load of up to 5 patients
- Utilize computerized charting and medication systems including electronic health record and automated dispensing systems
- Adhere to facility dress code: navy scrubs with no logos; white under layers or white lab coat permitted
- Badge in and out at the facility for every shift
- Complete facility-required orientation including EHR computer training and one day of training in each unit
- Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- BLS required prior to start
- ACLS required prior to start
- NRP required (may be completed onsite with approval)
- Minimum 6 months of Med-Surg experience within the past year
- Minimum 6 months of Emergency Room experience within the past year
- Local candidates are welcome; candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
- PALS certification
- Experience with Med-Surg nurse-to-patient ratios of 3–5:1 in varying census and acuity environments
- Opportunity to gain diverse clinical experience across both Emergency Room and Med-Surg settings within a 25-bed facility
- Onsite NRP completion may be available with facility approval, supporting continued professional development
