Location: Aberdeen City
Cooper Parry has been engaged to source a Cost Controller or a Senior Cost Controller for a highly successful, international business with a very significant UK presence. This business has a "Go Green" attitude, continuously looking to make their customers operations more sustainable through reducing both carbon footprint and costs.

The OpportunityAs Cost Controller, you will be a part of the Finance & Project Services Department. Your main responsibilities will be to provide a proactive and robust cost management service for both internal and external clients and support reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of client cost reports for assigned projects
- Preparation of sales invoices and follow up of aged debt
- Review and approval of vendor costs
- Input into preparation of variation order requests as required by Project Team
- Creation of project budget as handed over from Tendering Department
- Monthly profit and loss reporting and forecasting for assigned projects including preparation and posting of project accruals and variance analysis
- Highlight in timely manner any areas of concern for potential cost overrun
- Review of final project costs v As Sold and feedback variances to Tendering Department to promote improvement
- Support client and internal audits as required
- Financial input to monthly project reviews with Senior Management
- Project cost control experience
- Project accounting knowledge and experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience of using ERP systems
- Degree qualified in Finance or Business Studies is preferable
- ACCA I CIMA qualified / part qualified is beneficial
- Experience of broader project controls remit is an advantage
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
