Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations across multiple entities (UK & NL). Lead and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies. Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial reporting packages and annual financial statements. Ensure accurate and timely tax filings in coordination with external advisors and authorities.

Supervise, coach, and develop a team of accountants; allocate tasks effectively and monitor performance. Coordinate and act as the primary contact for internal and external audits, ensuring smooth audit processes and timely resolution of findings. Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, internal controls, and systems to enhance efficiency and compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to ensure alignment and consistency across regions.

Prepare cash flow forecasting to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs. Ensure adherence to corporate governance, internal control frameworks, and multinational regulatory requirements. Your Profile Qualified Chartered Accountant (or equivalent). 10+ years of experience in general accounting within a multinational environment, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes.

Proven experience managing month-end/year-end close and multi-entity accounting environments.

Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as Exact and SAP ByDesign, as well as MS Office tools.

Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ownership of financial data. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across functions and geographies. Experience working with auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders. Fluent in English.
