Band 4 (£30,353 – £33,016) – 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Department of Neurosurgery, ARI Medical Secretarial Services Team

Time for a change? Looking for a challenge? We have an exciting vacancy that might be for you!

The post holder will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Consultants and will work as part of a team alongside other experienced medical secretaries, providing a comprehensive service to the Department of Neurosurgery. This is a busy but rewarding post, involving extensive waiting‑list management and cross‑covering responsibilities for other departments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to Consultants.
  • Assist with waiting‑list management.
  • Work collaboratively with other medical secretaries.
  • Cover other departments as required.
Qualifications
  • Previous medical secretarial experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Additional Information For Candidates

As of 1/4/26 the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week; part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata with a corresponding increase in hourly rate, so pay will not be affected.
