About UsWe are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and motivated medical secretary to join our administration team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced secretary or administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Kincorth & Cove Medical Practice is well-established two centred practice on the south side of Aberdeen serving the communities of Cove and Kincorth, with a current list size of approximately 14,670.
We pride ourselves on providing high quality patient care and delivering an efficient, professional service within a supportive team environment.
At Kincorth & Cove Medical Practice, you'll be joining a large, experienced, and friendly team. Our clinical workforce includes four GP Partners, two ANP Partners, and 13 Salaried GPs. Together with our Management Team and valued team of Primary Care Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, we work collaboratively to provide excellent care for our patients and support for one another.
Post OverviewThe successful candidate will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to our clinical team, ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of patient referrals, correspondence and communications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Typing and processing clinical correspondence and referrals.
- Liaising with hospitals, healthcare professionals and patients.
- Type letters and reports etc. for the practice team.
- Tracking referrals and investigations where required.
- Handling confidential information in accordance to GDPR.
- Providing administrative support to GP’s and other clinicians.
- Assisting with general office duties and supporting the wider practice team.
Essential skills and experience:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong administrative and secretarial experience.
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
- Previous experience in a GP practice, NHS or healthcare environment.
