Location: Aberdeen City

A leading UK energy infrastructure operator is looking to appoint a Supply Chain Lead to join its growing Supply Chain & Commercial function. This is a key role within a purpose‑driven organisation at the heart of the national energy transition, offering the opportunity to shape procurement outcomes that support safe, reliable and future‑focused network operations.

In this role, you’ll lead a range of regional sourcing and supply chain activities—from market analysis and supplier identification through to competitive tendering, negotiation, contract award and close‑out. You’ll take ownership of developing and executing effective regional sourcing strategies, ensuring that goods and services are procured efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with overarching commercial objectives.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across supply chain, commercial, engineering and operational teams, as well as with local and regional suppliers. You’ll play a pivotal part in preparing and issuing tender documentation, running robust evaluation processes, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and supporting the implementation and onboarding of new suppliers. Your work will contribute directly to category strategies, risk management, and long‑term supplier relationships across a varied portfolio.

You’ll bring a strong track record in strategic sourcing or supply chain management, with a solid understanding of procurement practices, category management, and the full lifecycle of sourcing activity. You’ll be analytical, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse internal and external stakeholders. Experience operating within complex or regulated environments is beneficial, as is a relevant degree and professional accreditation such as MCIPS (or equivalent).

As part of a collaborative and forward‑thinking team, you’ll have the opportunity to influence procurement strategies, drive value, and contribute to the resilience and transformation of a nationally critical network. You’ll benefit from strong professional development opportunities, a supportive culture, and the chance to make a meaningful impact within a major UK infrastructure organisation.

If this sounds like the right step for your supply chain career, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now or get in touch for more information.
