Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Pricing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding, with a focus on both in‑gauge and project pricing. This role is crucial for ensuring competitive and profitable pricing strategies that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain pricing models for all in‑gauge and project shipments, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in the market.
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitor pricing to inform pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to gather data and insights that impact pricing decisions.
  • Prepare and present pricing proposals to clients, ensuring clarity and alignment with their needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of pricing strategies, making adjustments as necessary to optimize profitability.
  • Maintain comprehensive pricing databases and documentation to ensure compliance and facilitate reporting.
  • Assist in the development of pricing policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to sales teams on pricing strategies and tools.
  • Ensures that all interactions are compliant with DPDHL Code of Conduct and other compliance requirements e.g. anti‑corruption
  • Contribute to the First Choice continuous improvement program
Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing, preferably within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficiency in pricing software and tools, along with Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations and market dynamics.
