3D Generalist

Junior CGI Specialist required to join leading Animation Studio. Delivering projects across TV and Animation.

Main requirements :

• Strong knowledge of Maya, Redshift and Adobe Suite (mainly After Effects, Premiere and Photoshop)
• Oversight of handovers between stages and awareness and understanding of technical aspects of each stage to problem solve and maintain
• General programming and automation skills, within Maya and Redshift and spreadsheets. Python desired.
• Ability to accommodate client needs and respond to feedback on processes

• Receive 2D designs, translate into 3D with modelling, rigging, texturing, shaders and UVs
• Manage the scope of assets, pushing back on out of scope client requests
• Work alongside pre-production to review animatics and develop technical briefs for assets
• Manage library of assets across all episodes, always looking for opportunities to economise and reuse

• Follow procedure and already established processes (can develop own if preferred) to manage the lighting, rendering and compositing stages and all feedback
• Take brief on lighting from creative director and execute
• Excellent eye for detail and precision for processing QC feedback at later stages of pipeline
