Location: Aberdeen City
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Consultant Orthodontist based at Aberdeen Dental Hospital and Institute of Dentistry. The position is full time 40 hours per week, however part time working will be considered.
This is a replacement post within the Orthodontic department. There are well established multi-disciplinary clinics held on a weekly basis with colleagues from the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry Services.
The service also provides Orthodontic input for the regional Cleft Lip and Palate service which is part of the National Managed Clinical Network (Cleft Care Scotland).
Applicants must be fully registered with the General Dental Council and be on the General Dental Council’s Specialist Register for Orthodontics. For more information visit General Dental Council.
Applicants should also have obtained the ISFE in Orthodontics or be within 6 months of attainment at the time of interview for the post.

Additional Information For CandidatesAs from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
