Job Purpose

To deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute to the professional, corporate life of the school within the agreements of the SNCT.

Join our team on a fixed‑term, part‑time (0.8 FTE) basis and provide personalised support to children, young people and their families across Aberdeen City. The post holder is part of our peripatetic service, working in a range of settings with pupils aged P1–S6, responding flexibly to unmet needs, supporting learning in its widest context, and being part of an expanding network of services and colleagues.

The role requires travel during the working day.

Key Requirements

• Appropriate teaching qualification
• Full GTC (Scotland) registration in the appropriate subject/sector, or eligibility for such registration
• PVG scheme membership – Working with Children

PVG Membership Details

From 1 April 2023, if a role requires PVG membership, candidates will bear the cost. The council initially covers the cost, deducted from the first month's salary.

Full Registration Standard

The postholder must be able to demonstrate the standard for full registration.
