Job Description
We are keen to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Technical Education to work with the Foundation Apprenticeship Team in various schools throughout Aberdeenshire. The successful candidate will teach across the technical Foundation Apprenticeship Frameworks which may include Engineering, Construction, Automotive and Energy Engineering – a Foundation Apprenticeship currently being piloted in Aberdeenshire this Academic Session and which we anticipate rapidly growing in strength and pupil numbers.
Foundation Apprenticeships have become an incredibly successful part of Aberdeenshire's Senior phase curriculum offer, driving significant increases in levels of achievement and having positive and significant transformational impacts on the opportunities and life chances for our young people. We welcome applications from suitably qualified and experienced subject specialists who wish to become a part of the team and help continue to build upon this success.
Fixed term for a period not exceeding 31 January 2027.
Requirements- Regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007; preferred candidate must join the PVG Scheme or obtain an update.
- Individuals who have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years will be required to provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check.
- Salary will be in accordance with SNCT agreements; applicants must be or be eligible to be fully GTC Scotland registered.
- Applicants must provide a minimum of one reference from their current or most recent employer.
