Job Purpose
To contribute to the management of the school/service and the delivery of quality education through the appropriate involvement of pupils, staff, parents, multidisciplinary agencies and the community it serves. This will be done in accordance with the Authority's Strategic Plan, the school's/service's Development Plan, National Priorities, Local Improvement Objectives, current legislation and within national and local agreements.

Roles that require PVG MembershipFrom 1 April 2023, if a role requires PVG membership, candidates must cover the cost of the membership. This applies only to roles with a full‑time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. The Council will initially pay the membership cost – £18 for existing PVG scheme members or £59 for non‑members – and will deduct this amount from the employee's first full month’s salary payment.
Minimum Qualifications- Appropriate Teaching Qualification
- Full GTC (Scotland) Registration in the appropriate subject/sector
- PVG scheme membership
- Standard for Full Registration
- Standard for Career‑Long Professional Learning
- Standard for Middle Leadership
