Position: Specialist Mentor (SM:MH)
Location: Aberdeen City

Specialist Mentor (Mental Health)

Responsibilities
  • Help them to achieve an appropriate balance of activities of everyday living and academic related tasks
  • Improve organisational skills such as time management
  • Assist students in preparing for their deadlines by breaking down tasks into smaller parts for them
  • Help to manage anxiety and cope with anxiety and stress caused by study related issues and/or everyday living.
  • Help students with reflecting on their own experiences
  • Improve students confidence by building on their existing strengths
  • Assist in preparing students for new experiences which they may be nervous going into
  • Work closely with Randstad to ensure any concerns with students are communicated as soon as possible
  • Behave in a professional and confidential manner at all times
Requirements

This is a specialist role so you must have membership of at least one of the following organisations at the level(s) indicated within this link (see page 8 and 9 : specialist mentor MH):
