University support assistant

We are seeking an empathetic, highly organised, and reliable University Support Assistants to empower students in Aberdeen in navigating their daily academic and social campus life. In this hands-on role, you will work directly with students to build independence, manage academic workloads, reduce stress, and foster positive social connections.

• Academic & Transition Support
• Organisation & Planning:
  Assist students in using planners, digital calendars, and task-management tools; break down large assignments and long-term projects into actionable, manageable steps.
• Classroom Assistance:
  Guide students to lecture theatres and classrooms, assist with settling in, and prompt effective note-taking or the use of assistive technology as needed.
• Campus Navigation:
  Provide timely reminders and gentle prompts to ensure smooth transitions between classes, lectures, and campus activities.

• Strong organisational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills with a patient, non-judgemental approach.
• Ability to maintain a calm, reassuring demeanour under pressure.
• Experience supporting individuals with diverse learning styles or sensory needs is highly desirable.
